Chris Brown has been the subject of a Twitter death hoax.

RIP Chris Brown began trending on the social networking site today (February 15), but Mashable reports that the Grammy-winning artist is alive and well.

Brown, however, has deleted a host of his own Tweets which seemingly answered back to those who were upset at the platform he was given at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, following his vicious attack on former girlfriend Rihanna before the same ceremony three years ago.

The deleted messages at Twitter.com/chrisbrown reportedly read:

"Strange how we pick and choose who to hate! Let me ask u this. Our society is full of rappers (which I listen to) who have sold drugs (poisoning). But yet we glorify them and imitate everything they do. Then right before the worlds eyes a man shows how he can make a Big mistake and learn from it, but still has to deal with day to day hatred! You guys love to hate!!! But guess what???"

HATE ALL U WANT BECUZ I GOT A GRAMMY Now! That's the ultimate FUCK OFF!

Chris Brown will remain on supervised probation after a court recently rejected his plea to end his probation term. The singer was sentenced to five years of probation and six months of community labour after pleading guilty to attacking Rihanna in their car on the eve of the 2009 Grammy Awards.

Brown has completed an anger management programme as part of his rehabilitation and has been praised by various judges throughout his probation.

Superior Court Judge George Lomeli told an attorney acting on behalf of Brown that though he agreed that the singer had behaved well, he should continue to regularly report to a probation officer in his home state of Virginia for another two years.

Brown will have a further progress hearing on July 10.

It wasn't even a death hoax. There's been this moronic trend on Twitter lately to use RIP and a celebrities name, but RIP stands for "Really Inspiring Person".

First of all if chris thinks an award is validation for his act, than he has other issues, awards are meaningless, Prince won one for "Future Baby Mama" and never picked it up, shows the importance of trinkets. Second Yes he made a mistake but this fool cant let it go himself, IF HE WOULD JUST SHUT UP and go about his business than sooner or later it would die off, like his career will one day and def the awards will. Next most of america doesnt give a shit about him or rihanna, when you break down america in population and how many records they sell, they are irrelevant, YES they get air time, but thats because most of america is dumber than them and just likes to read and sound off on wack shit.
