Chic guitarist Nile Rodgers has let slip that he is in discussions with Daft Punkto work on their new album.

Daft Punk don't give much away. Hiding their identity behind those iconic robot masks, the French dance giants are notoriously secretive. However Nile Rodgers could have inadvertently let slip the direction of their new album...

'Tron: Legacy' aside, it's been almost nine years since Daft Punk released a studio album. Fans have speculated that new material will be in an R&B vein, and Nile Rodgers recently confirmed that he is in talks to work with the French duo.

"Those guys are great,” he told Houston's Culture Map. “They're coming to my apartment on Monday and we’re going to talk about making a new record together."

My interest is piqued.
