It would be better if they chose Prince songs that suited their particular style. It's a little strange seeing Blake singing 1999, it goes against the advice they give to contestants to choose songs that mean something to them. I guess they have to choose from the hits though. I'm really not interested in hearing folks who aren't Prince, try to sing Prince songs.
Which isn't to say I don't think they have talent. Aguilera clearly has good pipes; Levine does too (which I admit despite him coming across like the ultimate smug asshole), but that doesn't mean I wanna hear them do Prince's shit. Nobody should do Prince but Prince.
