After singing with the groups Shades Of Love and High Fashion and doing session work in New York, Meli’sa Morgan’s solo career skyrocketed with the 1985 release of her emotive reading of Prince’s “Do Me Baby,” a No. 1 U.S. R&B single and U.S. Top 50 pop hit.

• Named after her debut hit, DO ME BABY featured production by Paul Laurence, Bryan Loren and five tracks co-produced by Meli’sa and co-writer Lesette Wilson.

Although I already have the original CD release, I'll definately be picking this one up because of the bonus tracks. But, I"m probably going to keep my original press for sentimental reasons. It was one of the first CDs I purchased way back in '87.
