Aretha Franklin - That's The Way I Feel About 'Cha

Re-Re held her own with her take on this classic...

Original from her '73 Quincy Jones-produced masterpiece, Hey Now Hey (The Other Side of the Sky):

Alternate version

Bobby Womack was said to be honored every time Aretha did cover him. I think Bobby contributed guitar on the Hey Now Hey sessions but I don't know, I could be just imagining that.

You never know. Quincy had alot of players on that album. I could've sworn that Bobby played on "Just Right Tonight."

Yep. And "So Swell When You're Well" sounds like Bobby was featured as well.

And even if it wasn't, that tells me Bobby definitely influenced guitar players with his style (something that was said in Unsung that he never gets credit for). I know Bobby has worked with ReeRee in the past. I wished I can remember verbatim what he said when he honored Aretha on her BBC Radio 2 special.

Just leave the bitch lol

I prefer the demo version. Bobby did in fact play behind Aretha, but if my memory won't fail me, it was during the Muscle Shoals sessions.

I still falloff at the backstory he gave. lol

But yeah that was probably the only sessions he was involved in with Aretha. Of course Unsung credited Bobby with the wrong song he played guitar on. lol
