this song is - I think - in my "TOP 3 FAVORITE" Sly/Family Stone songs.
I remember hearing - & loving this song when I was 2 or 3 years old.
GREAT singing; nice breezy horns..
my favorite line in the song is
"I cloud 9 when I want to..!"
I like the clip of them doing part of this song on that "Kraft Music Hour" (or whatever it was called) back in the day..

thx 4 posting this song. i play this song alot in my car during the spring and summer. when i go to the area called restaurant row in my vicinity (during lunch), i blast 'hot fun in the summer time' until i find a parking place. i be rocking all in the key of mellow.
