Trying to make controversy is all I'm getting from this... I did remember reading some article titles about the video last year.

I really wish I hadn't watched that, now I'm gonna have nightmares about slavery tonite. Just another overly-pretentious music video. ARTISTS IN GENERAL (not only rappers) need to stop with all this artsy-fartsy shit. Seriously, people need to stop trying to be so deep. All these damn facebook posts and tweets trying to be thought-provoking. I just don't understand. Good music is good music, you don't need a five-octave vocal range nor do you need to be an after school special. Fucking fucktards.

I...think someone watched the movie "A Time to Kill" and took a particular line Matthew McConaughey's character said and ran with it. lol

Remember the part where he described what they did to the girl to the jury, and then goes, "Now imagine she was white".

That part.

Having said that, I think they meant well but that all their effort is basically for nil because people who want to be silly and think ignorant things about slavery, aren't going to change their mind based off one video. I've learned that people tend to think and believe what they want to, even if you point out how asinine or reprehensible what those things are.

I just don't like the way they stuck the cross and a church in at the end, I read that as anti-Christian sentiment and I have a big problem with that although I'm not entirely surprised by it because that's the general direction popular culture has been trying to push people in for at least a decade now.

Neither one of those two are part of any secret group people keep talking about. If the film "Angels and Demons" is accurate, they wouldn't even qualify to get in.

I AGREE!

Its one thing when that shit is sincere... its another when your obviously try to come across as convincing...

Jay Z as well as Kanye do not think like this, do not give a fuck about slavery and do not make songs like this... They do this shit for ATTENTION which is a difference... They want to come across as so deep... fucking idiots..

And the funny part is none of them will never be in a KRS ONE and Nas league... fucking amatuers

Because their twats

They KNOW people are going to be quick and call out ILLUMINATI:lol:

They know exactly what they are DOING...

They want to shoot down assumptions but constantly always do stupid crap like this to get peoples ATTENTION... they love that kind of stuff... Honestly, I wouldnt want someone to think I worshipped the devil if I knew it wasnt true neutral

Thats why when people are quick to say Jay Z, Kanye Beyonce etc cant catch a break... I just laugh because they WANT ATTENTION... good or bad.

Kanye used to be thought-provoking.

I think Jay's influence has rubbed off on him and he has given in to his more materialistic side.

Jay has been all about brand-pimping ever since he left Jaz-O's group. He and Diddy cleaned up off of the death of Biggie and haven't changed their pattern since. Its all for controversy. That's why I posted that response track by Bizzle. He spit a LOT of truth about the two of them. With the loss of Kanye's mom, he has been wildin' out and seems to have lost himself.

Jay, on the other hand, has BEEN about materialism and money. His songs sound like commericals to me. He's always rattling off products like he's a damn human pop-up ad.

Exactly.. even when Jay Z first came out it wasnt all of that granted it was alot better that his commercial generic shit now but he never was thought provoking... kinda sad what is happning with Kanye...

Why is this so controversial? Not to ruffle any feathers, but even if they are "satanists", does it matter? lol

Because they know people think they're Satanists so they're playing them.

What impact does that have on certain impressionable people especially kids?

That's not their job as artists.

What did they have 2 do besides their so called talent 2 get where they are?

They worked hard. lol

What do they have 2 do 2 stay where they are?

Continue to make music that people enjoy. lol

They're taking a page out of the ol' Michael Jackson Media Playbook. Michael often gave the tabloids what they wanted by feeding them crazy stories about himself. The biggest example is that phony "Michael Sleeps in a Hyperbaric Chamber "story.

Exactly what images were satanic besides the upside down cross?

My bad, I thought there were supposed to be multiple images the way it was discussed. Yes I understand the significance of the cross and what it symbolizes. I'm just not sure these cats aren't playing everyone for fools that's all.
