^ Perhaps I need to listen to Like A Prayer again, because I didn't like it at all (besides the title track) when I listened to it. Like A Virgin, on the other hand, I loved. I can't believe it ranks so low on everyone's list.

I'm not a huge Madonna fan, but Like A Virgin is a great album, and I'm sick of people shitting on it on this site.

Like A Prayer sucks, btw. The title track is the only one worth a damn. razz

falloff

Like a Prayer runs rings around Like A Virgin.

I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

Ok, that's it.. I'm giving 'Like A Prayer' another listen right now, but I really don't recall anything great about it - I didn't even like the Prince song.

Don't really like "Express Yourself", though it's ok. But it's no 'Angel', 'Material Girl', 'Like A Virgin' or 'Dress You Up'.

'Love Song' is good.

'Till Death Do Us Part' is my 2nd favorite on the album, after 'Like A Prayer'. I do love both of these songs.

'Promise To Try' is ok, but I don't really like Madonna's voice much for slow songs.

'Cherish' is pleasant, but boring. I feel the same way about "Dear Jessie". I'm just gonna skip it now.. these songs are too long. And on to another slow song.. I already don't like it either.

'Keep It Together' is good enough, but I don't like her message songs for whatever reason.

I don't know, the album overall is good, but I don't see what's so amazing about it that it can be considered her best album, or one of the greatest albums of all time.

Done listening to it. "Spanish Eyes" I liked; "Act Of Contrition" I didn't. Overall, the album was fine, but I doubt I'll revisit it often, aside from "Like A Prayer" and "Till Death Do Us Part". I stand by my comment that Like A Vrigin is better.

'Angel' and 'Dress You Up,' I never need to hear again.
