I paid a shitload for this bitch 4 years ago and she was smaller than a cockroach where I was sitting. This time, I better get my money's worth, and she better lose the attitude. Her cockiness really makes me miss people like MJ who would never talk like that about his fans, even if he felt he was worth seeing. Yes I am a fan of hers, but I don't always agree with her, and here I am.

I seem to really enjoy every show of hers on DVD and the last time she came to Houston I couldn't afford her tickets because I was in high school but I hope she announces some dates in Texas again.

Her best tours are the Virgin tour, Blonde Ambition and the quirkiness of the Girlie show. I expected more from Sticky and Sweet though I really appreciated the stage set and design. Confessions didn't make it to me though the album was huge here and the nearest show was 5 hours away so I didn't go, but that set and those costumes were good, and the album start to finish though I wasn't fond of her singing and dancing though it may have been cause of her injury.

Honestly if I wanted to see a bunch of people running around in weird outfits on stage for for $300 I'd go see Cirque du Soleil.

Change it one more time..

The way she put it was kinda bitchy, but to tell you the truth, it's kind of hard to say with a straight face that what she said was bs.

Think about it - a concert is an optional expense, a luxury item or a splurge. It's not a 'need', it's a 'want'. Plenty of people shit large sums of money for frivolous shit they don't need all the time. Like, let's be real here and not split hairs about it.

A lot of the same people whining about the price of these tickets probably dropped heaps of money for the latest iPhone.

And like others in the thread pointed out, concert seats come at different price levels too and I'm sure not all the tickets will run that high.

Plus if you just don't wanna pay at all it's not like you won't be able to go to someplace like YT the next day and watch the concert for free from home in your underwear anyway.

So, yeah - honestly what she said was the truth, it's probably just gonna backfire on her because of the way she said it and the fact that it was her who said it and not someone else.

Yeah i agree and disagree, now i havent looked at all the pricing so if im off with my prices let me know, but for me, if im paying top of the line, im getting something special, im not paying that kind of money for someone and sitting in the mezzanine of MSG, if you do that, thats on you, but this is why i HATE with a passion arena shows, if this are first 10 rows or something like that, OK, thats for diehards etc...but if you are trying $300 or whatever the amount and im sitting on the ceiling of an arena, SORRY U arent worth it, unless she is blowing me after the concert she aint getting $300 for me to sit in the top row of a stadium.

Sorry Madge. You're not. I wouldn't even pay $300 to see Prince. I love the dude but, no. Not unless the tickets came with a trip in a time machine that transported me back to a 1987 SOTT concert stop and I was front row. lol

But seriously, nah. And here's why: that $300 doesn't guarantee that I'm not standing behind someone 6 feet tall. It also does not guarantee that I would not be near anyone shaking a damn tambourine or blowing a friggen whistle in my ear all damn night, dumping beer on me, or trying to bump me out of my seat/space. chair

I once paid 20$ to a doorman to enter a Madonna show without a ticket (yes it worked, in Paris)...

I'm grateful I didn't paymore.. that show was boooorign! (in her Geisha/Music era)

She's suppose to come in my city on September 1st, on the Plaines of Abraham, I hope many people will go, but if tickets are 300$ only hardcore will... and those who have that money.

Yeah, I love Graffiti Bridge movie, so what? ''Oooooooooooh Montreal, say it!''
If you can't be nice to someone on the net, you probably ain't worth much talking to in real life either.

I seen her front row opening nite of Drowned in Philly. They didn't know the specs of the stage and sold a bunch of seats day before the show for $100 or so. I forget exactly what I paid. All I know is I was sitting next to some gay guys who were hardcore Maddy fans and they paid $1000! They were pissed when they found out what I paid. Sometimes it pays to wait to the last min. Good times.

See this is a good point.

$300 is expensive. $1000 is out of the question. I hate to say it but those guys deserved to get ripped off for even thinking of paying that much.

I'm getting to the point where I hate arena shows as well.

Saw Madonna in Toronto for Reinvention and was at the ceiling.

Saw Dave Mathews locally, same thing.

Had those horrible seats for Gaga practically behind the stage but those were about $60-70. Again a big rip.

We have this very nice old school theater that sits about 3500 that I wish more acts would go to but they don't and I know why but I still wish they would.

Well, she could've said, "It's not cheap, I know, but it'll be worth it so come see my show" or something like that. Again, it's not the price that bothers me but what she said was really unnecessary. "People spend money on stupid things all the time like handbags, blah blah blah". Seriously? I mean obviously she does not appreciate the fans who live on a tight budget, they still work hard to get the ticket to her show.

yeah, if she had a history of speaking for the common man, I'd agree. If it was Bruce Springsteen saying it I would be very disappointed.

But this is the Material Girl, who has always made statements such as "I plan to take over the world"

Truth.

Sorry, at best she's worth half that. She's got charisma and savvy, but she needs all sorts of bells and whistles just to entertain people. If I want special effects and enhanced sound I'll spend 3C's on a year's worth of movie tickets.

I was front row centre at a SOTT concert and also at a SOTT aftershow, but I don't know if I would pay that much to have that experience again. I sure would never ever pay that much for a Madonna concert.

That's the money Madonna wants.

I have no problem with those who love her and want to see her at that price. It makes them happy, and you are what you spend your money on.

As for me, I'd pay 3C's to see Streisand do her thing before I'd pay that to see Madonna. She's a cultural icon and it would be one more thing to scratch off the list to see Maddie, but at that price? Negative.
