Dude lived to be 90-years-old. What a life!

Johnny Otis, the "godfather of rhythm and blues", may you rest in eternal peace, soul brother.

He truly "outlived" R&B. He was there when it started, witness it florish and prosper, and saw its decline before he died.

I'm not that sad, the man gave us a WEALTH of talent long before his day came. Thank you for giving us Esther Phillips, Mr.Otis.

Yeah, like I said a "wealth" of them, out of them all though the one who struck a nerve to me was Miss Phillips.

Johnny Otis preceded one of his most famous proteges, Etta James, by a day.

That's down right spooky.

This is one of my favorites by Mr. Otis..... damn good album; I uploaded it last night.

The double entendres are down right hilarious.
