Mariah & Jermaine Get Back To Work

[img:$uid]http://i.imgur.com/ehoGM.jpg[/img:$uid]

January 27, 2012

After nursing her husband Nick Cannon back to health, Mariah Carey returned to work. The pop diva hit the studio with longtime collaborator Jermaine Dupri last night at Southside Studios in Atlanta.

She showed off her curvaceous figure (thanks to Jenny and Dem Babies) while posing in front of the console. “I said MC they don’t expect you to be camera ready, she said Yes they do LOL!!” tweeted J.D., who shared a couple photos from their session.

The dynamic duo is cooking up new music for Mariah’s upcoming fourteenth album. We hope to hear more classics like “Always Be My Baby” and “We Belong Together.” (Link)

shake He need not. He can stick to directing the music videos.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I don't know. I"m worried about this. Is he going to be able to produce the mature sound she needs???hmm

I hope she brings James "Big Jim" Wright back into the studio with her to help give her more of a retro sound with some of the tracks. I love what he did with her on "Mimi".

The Mimi & JD team-up is feeling stale. I would so like to see her reunite with Walter Afanasieff or complete an album with James Poyser.

I've never been able to really warm up to the most of the MC/Dupri stuff, and I tried. You said exactly what I was thinking.

falloff Lawd, I remember when those big ass jerseys were in style. My brother even asked for one for Christmas. The early 2000s was truly an awful time for mainstream Hip-Hop. I'd rather listen to Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Lil Wayne than that shit. evillol

If Nick Cannon can get a fuckin' record deal back then. Not only that, but have a top 40 hit.

falloff

And them God Damn jerseys were RIDICULOUSLY expensive! $200-$300!

A whole album with Big Jim and James Poyser would truly be a masterpiece. And if she must insist on working with JD, he needs to STFU on her tracks. That "y'all know what this is..." bullshit is so very tired. It drove me crazy on the E=MC2 album.

Hahahaha! That shit just made me laugh so much. It didn't really bother me but yes, I agree we could do without that on her next album. I wish she would venture out a bit and try new or different producers but I guess she knows what she wants.

Is he even still around working in the business? I haven't seen his name on anything in a long time!

He's been very busy working with jazz artists and vocalists.

She and Walter were a match made in heaven and the highlight of the Glitter album. I haven't bougght a Mariah album since E=MC 2 but will support this if it's anything like another Mimi, I always liked her and Jermaine. I skipped Memoirs, it's the only main Mariah album I didn't buy.
