Tupac- Me and My Girlfriend

Lost in the whirlwind, ninety-six, Bonnie and Clyde
Me and my girlfriend, do one-eighty-five when we ride
Trapped in this world of sin, born as a ghetto child

One of my favorite Pac tracks, along with "Until the End of Time".

Raised in this whirlwind (c'mon)
Our childhood years recall the tears heart laced with venom
Smokin sherm, drinkin malt liquor, father forgive her
Me and my girlfriend, hustlin, fell in love with the struggle
Hands on the steering wheel, blush, while she bail out bustin
Fuck em all, watch em fall screamin, automatic gunfire
Exorcisin all demons
Mafias on the side, my congregation high, ready to die
We bail out to take the jail back, niggaz united
Our first date, couldn't wait to see you naked
Touch you in every secret place, I can hardly wait
To bust freely, got you red hot, you so happy to see me
Make the frontpage primetime live on TV
Nigga my girlfriend, baby forty-five but she still live
One shot make a nigga's heartbeat stop

wink

LOL lol lol Yea me to... I think I love this track because Pac is talking about his gun and symbolizing it as if it was his girlfriend... he was such a genius...

I know people say that, but really it's so cleverly written that I wouldn't be surprised if he meant it the other way around - comparing his girlfriend to his favorite gun.

And before anybody comes in and starts bitching about gangsta rappers, violence and gun imagery - I'm pretty sure some other artist/group/band made a song called "Happiness is a Warm Gun", and they weren't rap artists so stfu.

I've always said that gangsta rap is just a reflection of society in general.

Honestly yeah - in some places unfortunately life is actually like what you hear in those songs.

And it annoys me when people try to make it sound like violent imagery and lyrics is specific only to rap music when like I stated a second ago, there's plenty of other musicians and genres who put violent imagery in their songs.

Maroon 5 - "Wake Up Call" dude talks about shooting the guy he finds boning his chick...that's just a recent pop example. I could go on and on...

Pumped Up Kicks is about a psychopath kid who shoots some other kids at school. And that song was a hit last year.
