Oh yeahhh now I remember it, I have heard it a few times and thought it was cute. It was released in Europe but not North America right?

I hate admitting how awesome mj and britney mashups sound, and they are not on the same levels

I'm not very big fan of Britney, but some songs I love from my childhood:
Stronger, Everytime, Overprotected, Lucky, Born To Make You Happy, And Then We Kiss. biggrin

MJ and Britney, of course, are not on the same artistic level, but Britney worked with the professionals and has a decent catalog of songs, one of the best in the last 10-15 years in pop music.

wink

Her singing and dancing is not good IMO (she sounded best in her disney days and first album), but sometimes she's pretty and her songwriters are good for the most part. Some of her lesser known songs are underrated, but her voice keeps me from really getting into her.

Singing... Yes, she is not a good singer. But there are a weak singers in pop music, the voices that annoy me to death, but Britney's voice somehow never annoyed me. smile
Dancing ... Now Britney is very weak and lazy dancer on stage, but in her prime, she danced well.
Writing songs ... she has not written a single song (without the co-authors). I do not take her seriously as an author. We all know how to write songs co-written big stars (write a line, different chorus, change the name ..... and you co-author), it is not serious. lol

But at the end of the day, I like Britney .
Probably because Britney was very popular during my childhood (esp.1999-2004).
You know, kids are very impressionable.

I'm glad that at last her life began to return to normal after those rabid periods. smile

I wouldn't wish mental health issues on my worst enemy, so I feel you on that

As for the dancing, the choreography and energy was better before, but she was not a great dancer IMO, she just had fun doing it and that's all.

She had good energy and did aerobics in Baby One More Time. She learned choreography well and did well for the first few albums, but I guess I just prefer what Janet did instead and feel she lifted a lot of her things and gets more credit.

I agree with some of what you are saying cause she has a lot of catchy songs that she didn't write that even I will play time to time, but I find it kind of funny you say her voice didn't annoy you, but MJ's does sometimes lol

Michael is third in the list of my favorite voices EVER, Britney is not even in the top 100.

How can you compare them?? eek
I never said that Michael's voice annoys me, I wrote that sometimes I get tired of it. wink For example, Childhood and You Are Not Alone, his voice did not fit to these songs, IMHO, although I LOVE HIStory. I do not like his voice on most songs from Invincible + half of the songs are frankly weak. neutral

I do not think Britney's a great talent or self-creative. lol

Strange things happen on this forum: if you write that you are not annoying to some artist and you like exactly 6 of his\her songs, some people want to argue with you. lol

Oh okay, thanks for clearing that up. I don't think they are on the same level, but I know he inspired her and I can tell sometimes she is trying to be like him, Madonna and Janet and can never compare.

I think YANA is a period piece though also well written and cookie cutter for it's time. Childhood has a message I can relate to once in awhile, but I have times when I can get into it and others I can't. I didn't like it either when it came out, but I started feeling it about 10 years ago and appreciate how it was composed, he was going for the Disney approach I think.
