I LOOOOOOOVE this song and I can totally sing the living hell out of that bridge with that FANTASTIC climax. UGH! Whitney is the pinnacle of what a power ballad should sound like. No one does them like her. THE BEST!!! Definitely Top 10!!

Vainandy's gonna diss me for saying this,but I like her second album This was in the days when she was "scandal-free"...when it was all about her talent and not all the unfortunate distractions that came later.I love the remake of "For The Love Of You".

I've stated before, I used to be a pretty big Nippy fan in the 80's and early 90's. She kinda lost me with "My Love Is Your Love" but I still enjoyed her music. However, I lost all respect for her when she started publically making a clown out of herself and she decided to star in "Being Bobby Brown" and showed the world she was nothing but common, ghetto trash! I was just very disappointed that she took the low road like that. I don't hate her. I just really enjoy poking fun at her because she makes it so easy! But, I continue stand by my past statement, I will take Nippy's hoarse-croaking-talk-singing over Beyonce's or Rhianna's alleged "singing" any day!!!!!

Last year,all I heard about was how badly she sounded on her tour.Every other day,some blog or website was posting a Youtube clip.And now we hear rumors of her having financial problems.Back in 1987,it was easy to focus on her talent because she was focusing on that.These days,there are so many distractions.

The negative headlines on Whitney post 2006 doesn't even come close to the stuff we were hearing and seeing prior 2006. Whitney has been very scandal free since 06 and her stint in rehab. She returned last year but that was to continue her road for recovery and she also kicked the ciggs. The negative reports on Whitney these days aren't really a reflection of her actions post 2006. Every interview she has done since then she and special appearance she has been in her right mind and looked great. Now the tour, yeah that was bad press but for her voice and weight. All the reports about Sparkle have been positive, but people wouldn't know that because they look over the posts that Entertainer would post here but come running to the negative ones smh. I think after the Sparkle era and Getting to Happy era, I think Whitney's image will be back to normal. I Look to You era helped, I think most people know she's not on drugs, but see her as someone trying to get her life back on track.

Once again, you give me nothing but excuses. She didn't tour last year and these rumors of her being broke are exactly that. Where is the proof that she is broke? While you supposedly were tied up with that... I read news articles on Whitney sponsering her sister-in-law's new candle line and Whitney getting ready to head to the big screen in 2 new movies soon. I just don't understand it.

Exactly Whitney didn't even tour last year. Her professional appearances were few like flying to attend the Prince of Brunei's birthday bash in the UK, going back to rehab voluntarily to work on herself and like I believe to fullfill movie insurance concerns for Sparkle. I remember reading on hater blogs that there was no way she would get insurance and now look, not only did she get it but she completed the movie and all of her cast members have had nothing but glowing reports of her.

People will tend to overlook any positive thing she does and blow up any kind of negative thing even if it don't make sense.

BTW, this song is one of my least favorite Whitney songs but I loved the video. I thought she looked very pretty in it and i get why she wears lots of hats. They suit her.

OK,I was obviously referring to the year before but the point remains: these days,she's mostly in the news for all the wrong reasons.We'll see how those 2 new movies do but when I made my original comment,I was talking about a time when her talent was what people were focusing on.In 1987,she was 100% "scandal-free".That's what I miss.

Tee-hee! one of the main reason why I do it is the watch her delusional fans come scrambling to her defense like ants and make all kind of excuses for her. I can't help it. That shit is FUUUUUNNY! Hey, what can I say, I'm a evil bitch and good ain't in me. I can't stand goodie two shoes and little miss muffets. If she had come out from day one strung out on drugs, she could have hooked up with someone else strung out drugs, maybe like Rick James, and he could have hooked her up with some badass jams and dressed her up like a whore out on the street and all that cool type of shit. She could have had a slutty image to be proud of rather than a fallen ex little miss muffet who got hooked on drugs after she was traumatized by seeing a spider.

Yeah. I think one of the reasons why people, or as her fans love to call them "haters" , rag on Nippy so much is because Clive had always presented her as some sadity, elite Pop Princess and people fell for that shit hook, line and sinker! Even I was gulliable enough to fall for it! It was all just a big, fat act! She was able to pull it off for a good 5 years or so before her real personality came out. I actually found out in the early 90s when an interview was published with her in Rolling Stone magazine, I believe, when she was calling Madonna a bitch and she was just blathering out all kinds of filthy cuss words, with her Christian self.
