Software for editing a music track

I have a question for you guys. I have a friend that just asked me if there was a way to remove a saxophone or keyboard from a finished recording?

I don't know of any software that will allow you to do this. Can you guys help with this? If not, can you recommend some sites where you can buy instrumentals of songs that a sax can be played over?

The song she is wanting without the sax is Herbie Hancock's Chamelon.

No you would have to have the masters to do that...where you can just delete the sax portion altogether
