Alot of people thought that when the song first came out.. I was 4 when this jam came out
People commonly referred to it as the period song because of the implications of a young girl wanting to be alone because its "just one of dem days that a girl goes through" like yea I need to be alone because its that time of the month....
I personally get a more broader view...
It doesnt necessarily reference to just periods. I thought that it was about a girl that just wanted time to herself. She just had days that she just wanted to be alone and enjoy her own time. However, she still loved her partner and didnt want him to feel she didnt love him. It can be viewed as one or the other or both really... | |

Not sure why I lost interest in her after that song that sampled PYT though it was a good one. I was feeling her the most during her first two albums, and saw a little bit of her reality show though I didn't care for the music despite her vocal talent.
