I like The Ropers first season but the second season was stale. When their show ended, they should have found a way to write them back into Three's Company and still keep Mr. Furley. Suzanne Somers is the one that needed her ass beat....sitting up there thinking she was worth more money than Archie Bunker.

I never liked Mr.Furley boxed He was a poor replacement for the Ropers (who were hilarious).I wish they had kept the Ropers on the show.I didn't miss Suzanne Somers at all.She had a massive ego,but the show did quite well without her.

Isn't the general consensus that I Look To You flopped? It had great first week sells, but fell off after. I actually like it, but it isn't the masterpiece that was My Love Is Your Love, still good tho. And when Whitney divorced Bobby, court documents stated she received $125,000 a month. Which is about 1.5 million a year. Plus she's gonna get $7 million from Sparkle. Homegirl might not have the money she used to have, but broke she is not lol.

What general conscensus!

I Look to you went plaitinum in the US- sold 1mil copies

Then it went on to sell an additional 1.5mil copies worldwide which would be 2.5mil, show me who is selling that outside of Gaga, Adele, Rihanna, heck Beyonce's '4' hasn't sold as much as I look to you yet.

I CAN tell you that w whitney sold more than mariah, britney spears, mary j blige, jennifer hudson, christina aguilera, and a ton of other singers. I look to you was the #29 best selling cd in 2009 and it was released aug 31, so that means it was only out 4mths and it was a hit.

Why people try to hate on whitney and make up stuff is just ludicrous when the facts are there. Her cd was a hit and she had 3 songwriting credits on it. All 3 songs written with Claude Kelly she co-wrote so this mess about Whitney being broke is just that mess!

Whitney's tour which was received well still made her bank. Someone posted this link, click it if you dare

http://www.pollstarpro.co...tTours.pdf

says she grossed $36.3mil and her tour was the #35 top grossing worldwide tour that year. I'd say that she netted about $14mil and about $1mil from tshirs and stuff sold

I'm gessing she made about $20mil just from her tour and cd from 2009 to 2010 where do you think $20mil went to in one yeah.

Haters stay on their job but can't produce receitps. Well here is her receipt!

now add auntie Whit starring, executive producing Sparkle and the soundtrack, she making bank and laughing all the way to the bank!

I think Christina's dwindling audience just illustrates Madonna's genius. She prides herself on being chameleon-like every time she wants to release an album but it comes across as contrived and phony as hell. She was bubblegum pop, then a white-soul singer, now she's singing over electronic beats. Who the hell do you want to be Floptina? The public is confused and your sales show it.

Singing a deal doesn't mean you automaticly get the money....you have to do something for it, like release albums. As she only released one album since than, she didn't get 100 million!

Not true, she released

Has Whitney ever written any of her songs? I know alot of her biggest hits are actually remakes.

yes

3 songs on i look to you

count on me on exhale soundtrack

queen of the night on the bodyguard

and i think a few more

Whitney made a killing from touring, her my love is your tour in europe was the largest theatre tour and was extened

every3yrs or so she tour even when people thought she was at home strung out

she produced 4 huge movies so she getting producer salary and residuals

princess diaries one and two

cheetah girls franchise

she may not have written many songs but she was a straight up tourer and very successful movie/produer career that people seem to have amnesia about.

Songwriting royalties accrue from sales and airplay. Each songwriter collects from each album sale, even if it is never a single.

Songwriters and producers collect on radio airplay, not the artist.

That Steven Tyler natonal anthem had me calling Whit up the youtube to hear her sing it. I had to bow down - she killed it; no bullshit attempt at contemporary marketable rule the world garbage. But like a dumbass I slid it in and pressed play on Beyonce singing it next. She did not fare so well in the "who wore it best" game - sounded a little thin next to Ms. Houston. I had a big one for B's singing after D's Child and before she became so omnipresent.

And it's also my understanding that artists have to pay those big advances back to the labels? So unless a recording artist is a writer or producer, they really are comparable to a prostitute for the record labels.nod

Yeah... except Christina is still able to bring in money...there's this little show called 'The Voice' that's not doing too shabby last I heard. What's Whitney been doing lately besides freaking out on planes? Soo sad to see where this amazing woman has ended up disbelief Whitney's not bringing in any REAL money for the lifestyle she likes to live and like many people know, she's never been a songwriter so she's not really getting much in the royalties department unfortunately.

I'll agree with you that Christina's constant changing image and sound has confused many people but her true fans know what's up and I for one can appreciate an artist who doesn't do the same sound album after album after album. Should she do a couple of albums that are the same genre of music before moving on to the next genre...absolutely but does it make her a bad artist...nope I don't believe it does but that's JMHO. I believe Burlesque had the title of highest opening musical film in that film category when it premiered so that's a feat even Madonna didn't hit with 'Evita'. Madonna has always been an extremely smart business woman and I believe that truly explains her 'chameleon-like' image changes through the years.

She's calculated and executed her image perfectly and that's why she'll always be the Queen of Pop...Britney, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Rihanna don't have the level of 'smart' talent that Madonna has in her pinkie nail. Sure, Beyonce and Gaga have better voices and Britney and Rihanna have....well I'm still trying to figure out what they have to be honest but Madonna has always had those great business smarts to keep her in the game. The only female artist who has ever really been on Madonna's level (sometimes over her) is Ms. Janet Jackson...at least to me she is but that's just my twocents At the end of the day, Christina still has one of the best voices in recent music history and not many of her peers can brag about that. Image is nothing, true talent is everything...just sayin cool
