Whitney Houston’s finances are hitting rock bottom, and RadarOnline.com has the exclusive details about her dire situation.

The Bodyguard star, 48, who sought help for her crack addiction last year, has lost her fortune, a source close to the singer exclusively revealed.

Oh please....Whitney going homeless, yeah right

She was probably modestly wealthy in the first place. It's not like she was a songwriter. All the green her tunes and albums made went to her Label and to people like Dolly, Babyface, Diane Warren and the other songwriters.

I'd rather she goes broke than fall into "the bandwagon" again. At least, she won't be broke for too long.

Sounds like the folks at the record label are the ones who are on crack. That reminds me of when L.A. Reid advanced her all of those millions of dollars years ago and she stumbled in the studio and literally threw together that piece of garbage "Just Whitney" and then she and Bobby smoked all of the advance up.

Also, how many "Whitney is broke" rumors have we been hearing? This reminds me of when Michael constantly made the papers for that. What I think is going on is probably she's in debt but she still has money coming in. I think some of her films still get broadcast on TV so she gets paid off royalties for being the executive producer or what not in all except one (The Bodyguard).

Even non Whitney fans should be able to see the trend now, it's not that hard to spot. Everytime a postive story comes out about Whitney, a negative one soon follows. I mean come on, I know Whitney has some haters on here, but lets be real. She was all over the blogs the past few days about Sparkle, there's even a thread in here about the recent pics, she's been getting love and good press and then BAM here comes a negative story. Last year, she showed up looking great at a charity event, that made its way to the blogs, looking great and then BAM the next day there was a negative story about her getting into it with a flight attendant. This has been the trend ever since she has divorced Bobby Brown. You can draw your own conclusions. But Whitney is far from broke. And to the person who said she has never been wealthy, she made the forbes list three times for sure, twice in the 80's and once in the 90's from her tours. She was only behind Oprah those three years. She is far from broke, she's also executive produced her albums starting with I'm Your Baby Tonight, executive produced Cinderella, both Princess Diaries movies, and Cheetah Girls. According to this website, it says she's worth $80 million. She is also one of the executive producers for Sparkle, and the budget for that movie is only $10 million, surely it will make that back and then some opening weekend. That is if this mess is true, the press doesn't always get the story right.

I like how her people rebuke the story, claiming she's not "flat broke". Read between the lines she's damn near broke.

It's the main reason why she has no mo' money. Her dire financial situation isn't the exception, its pretty much the rule with folks who have substance abuse problems, they lose damn near everything. One can surmise along the way she started spending and smoking more than she was making yearly. Add the up keep of homes, paying Bobby's child support, Bobby legal fees, the assistancs, the lavish lifestyle... it can all add up a net lose. Not to speak of the years she was M.I.A.; how many albums, movies, tours and/or endorsements did sister girl miss out on?

All of this wouldn't be a mute point if she could still sting. Most artist/ musicians/ singer whether they are songwriters or not make their millions from touring. I agree with Harle, she's sober and that the most important thing, she'll have other options to make a living, I hope.

you have to take the gossip with a grain of salt, but i will never say its impossible for someone who made millions to lose it all. how many athletes,entertainers have blown through hundreds of millions? whitney has had a very long drug habit and she hasnt been doing much to bring money in. i remember on that reality show being bobby brown how she walked around paying for everything with cash, who carries stacks of cash around like that?i think her,bobby, and bobby kris could have very easy blown through her millions

All jokes aside, a lot of these Entertainers aren't as rich as we think they are. People tend to think they are pocketing all of these millions of revenue dollars from music and film project but what we often fail to realize is they often have several business/financial managers and large staffs that they have to pay. And for a singer, it's even worse because they have to pay musicians, backgroud singers, road/tour managers, tour buses, hotel stays, etc. And they also have to reimburse the label for certain expenses. So, no, alot of these singers are not all that well off. I believe filthy rich singers are more the exceptional than the norm. That's where songwriting and very highly successful tours come into play. That's where the serious bread is.
