Came back from the Mint Condition concert and it was terrific! Over two hours of only Mint and three encores! They played several songs from their new album which I love and at the end played songs that my friend knew because she has been a Mint fan since the 90s. She gave them a rave review. They also played two rock-type songs which neither one of us recognized which I think might be new. I wish I could give a better review but I need to digest the experience and get back to the review after a night's sleep. And a few drinks. I can say that Mint Condition delivers and MORE! If you have the chance to see them perform by themselves, walk not run to the nearest venue! We were up and dancing and didn't sit down until asked to do so!
They sure do, and then some. Saw them jam a few years back and they brought much of their catalogue to the table, from grooves to slowjams to rock to instrumental improvising. High level musicianship with incredible and surprising arrangements/bridges in some of their songs. At one point Stokley went behind the second drumset on stage and they started an experimental jam with the fellas. After the show i had some vinyl stuff signed and complimented their saxophonist/keyboardist Jeffrey Allen for his solo during that instrumental joint. He said thanks and "Man...i didn't know what trip i was on at that moment, just kept going lol...". Had some fun talking to guitarist O'Dell too and i asked also how he enjoyed performing with The Truth (Jellybean, St. Paul, etc...). Stokley was very generous and signed some stuff as well. All in all a great trip! |

You guys are fucking cool - you are genuinely enthused about seeing
live music. I wish I had that capacity for musical enjoyment but I
hate going to live shows.
Ugh.
Just give me the album, some really dope headphones and I'm good to
go. |

This tour will be just Tony Toni Tone & Mint Condition and just those two and they will put on a show long enough to satisfy fans. If Raphael don't want to get down oh well D'Wayne & Tim don't look like they are holding their breath but he is family and they still see him away from the stage and kick it with them who knows if he will ever let the fans see the magic they share offstage again.
But it's just those two and not a muliple act thing |

From my conversation I had with RS(That didn't end well) "It will never happen". His exact words to me.... will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. |

I understand having creative differences of opinion, but damn the way Raphael acts it's almost like he had a damn fist fight with Wayne and Tim or something. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince. |
