THAT^ is a good question Rialb.
Speaking for myself, I'm totally against any artists doing re-releases of the same album within 3 years apart. But instead of Prince, Beyonce, Rihanna, Gaga, & Katy, I personally blame Vanilla Ice for being THE forerunner of the "re-release/extended release the same album" bullshit.

I refuse to buy ANY CD's that are "re" released. I bought it once and that's the ONLY TIME I'll buy it. If more people boycotted such ploys, perhaps the consumer might have the upper hand (for a change???)

Thats different. She is not doing it for any artistic reasons, to give her fans more bonus tracks or extras....
She is doing it because she wants to beat Michael Jacksons record... period but the funny thing is its not going to mean shit and cheaters, gimmicks, and bullshit never prosper..

Not at all. Rave In2 was done to make the album better and to cash in on Rave Un2's poor success. Katy's just trying to make more money and number one hits by doing minimal more effort |
