It's a classic but these days,I'm sick of it We have an oldies R&B station that acts as if this was their only major hit.
But back in the spring of 1977,this song was da jam! Their 1977 self-titled album (which features this song) is their best work. | |

I have the album, and it's credited to all 6 members of The Commodores. It's the only song on the record to be credited to the whole group. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B.
