The year may be young but musically it has been FUNKY as hell so far with lots of great Album releases just out ...

My favorite, downloaded a couple of days ago and playing ever since is:

Knowing Satchel for quite some time , his latest two albums have been descent but Dancefloor Protest Music tops them all. This is his best work yet, a true FUNK masterpiece!

Then their is the: RHETT FRAZIER INC. / Every Day Is A Saturday - Check this one out, if you are longing for that magic Prince sound this will sure soothe your hungry ears ...

ENOIS SCROGGINS / From E To U - Member of the Zapptown Forum, his 4th album in majestic 80's R&B style ...

ISHAN COOPER / Irresistable Bitch feat. Kokane (Singel) no not that P song but in similar fashion, like George Clinton meets Bootsy to party up ... It's the first superhot single from his hopefully soon to be released album MANNEQUIN MOONWALK.

LA SUITE BIZARRE / Sex Is Medicine - I dont know when this album was officially released but I stumbled about it just the other day. Full Minneapolis Funk on here, nothing but a Purple Party ...

I was searching via google to see if somebody mentioned him before in here with no results, however, you can never talk enough about Satchel Grande, really .... Also, tried to find a video from Dancefloor Protest Music, without success ... what is a shame because listening to snippets of the album will not meet its whole brilliance ...

Yes, they should, but lots of them are afraid somebody could rip their music here instead of buying it or they just dont have the time or digital knowledge, who knows ...

Wow I would have never thought to ever see them mentioned on the org . I heard a radio special about them on soulfly just today . Sadly they don't cover Prince anymore these days during their shows. Their singer was the singer for a Prince tribute album and ballet dance show back in the day BTW.

When I listenend to that special yesterday I think the member that was being interviewed mentioned they are already working on a new album . But I must admit I was doing something else while listening and didn't pay full attention to what was being talked . In the mail I got from them today nothing is mentioned about an album.

Yes Andi Gabauer was the singer for that ballet show and I saw that back in the day in Linz.

DAMN, dont tell me that they are from AUSTRIA?! I had no clue, thought they are US-Americans or so ... No, I live in France but my father lives in Frankfurt right now, so ich spreche ein bisschen Deutsch, aber nicht viel. When I was a child we've been to Austria on vacasions, that's it, I never thought that in the land of DJ Ötzi (pardon me) people can be that funky! Congratulations!!!

To have a full album from the Hot Pants Road Club would be great. Let's hope their working on it.

Yes they are Austrian . Thank God we have real musicians here too and not only DJ Ötzi .

The first time I ever saw them was in Vienna a long time ago when they opened for Lionel Ritchie who I went to see because Sheila E. was in his band at that time. They covered a Prince song and did a great concert and that got me hooked . I have seen them quite often live in concert since then.

HPRC have released several albums over the years already BTW. But IMO they are better on stage than on record.

You could try to send them an email or call them on the phone, maybe they still have some of their CDs left to sell . Their newsletter has their email adress and mobile phone number, I can orgnote it to you if you want it!
