To me those are their signature songs but I also like a song called 'Good Lovin' that came out in the early 90s the lineup from the group was different. Definitely a different lead singer. Great band they dont get enough props.

Actually it was the same lead singer Lorena Lungs Shelby. Joyce Fenderella Irby was the other lead singer with the MJ like voice. By the time they did the Maxx is Back album with Good Lovin on it the band pared down to 3 members which pretty much was the norm for r&b bands by the 90's. Joyce was asked to leave by this time because she had a solo deal with Motown. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

Even though these were their 3 signature songs i actually liked their 4th single Lock and Key from this album best. By the time they released it the album had already run its course. Lock and Key was produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

Wow. How many times was that same beat used in the 90's?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
It was the beat of the early 90's. Alot of pure unadulterated shit was recorded over that beat.

I called it the Soul II Soul effect. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

It may have a bit of sap on it but I love I'd Still Say Yes with Howie Hews, that's a sweet song to hear every now and then. Jeux Sans Frontiers

I was listening to "I Miss You" during the "Quiet Storm" a few days ago...I know ya'll are gonna "throw-up" when I say this but as I listened to the lyrics I thought of one person that could "cover' this classic and turn it into #1 Pop Hit...
Mr. Bubble-Gum himself Justin Bieber. The little Girls would go CRAZY hearing him sing "I Miss You". His voice is perfect for that song...
It's a Pop hit that's been waiting for a Pop star to re-introduce it to another Generation....A Teen-Idol like Justin could take "I Miss you" to another level.....

You know I could see it, this song should be re-introduce to this generation. I agree Justin Bieber can remake it after all he still has a feminine voice. and it will be a hit.

The only ones I really like are "Meeting in the Ladies Room" and "Good Love". I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
