If no one says it, I will. The ceremony was painful to watch, and a reminder that I'm a fan of their father, not them. I wish them well.

I'm sick of hearing about these Cascio people all the time. I blame them for the garbage that is the "Michael" cd, and frankly it seems like they're always around trying to find some new way to make money or gain fame off of MJ's name.

They suck.

And I'm sick of this Cirque du Soleil stuff and this Glee stuff and all this 'commemorative' stuff, the vast majority of which is just really cheesy, tacky corny and poorly executed.

I'll probably watch Glee since I occasionally put it on if nothing else is on, but I swear if I start hearing about their versions being better.........

I want Bad 25 and the tours on DVD NOW!

What are you talking about? They´re just kids. They´re not responsible for the organization of this event, even though I also thought it was badly organized and the acts were rather poor. But the kids were just kids.

lol Yeah it is just kids. I always have people come up to me and ask me what I'm listening to. I'll tell them, and they'll be like, "Did you hear the Glee cover? It's so much better than the original." neutral

It's shitty statements like these that make me certain I will homeschool my children.

I know sad I guess I just miss him so much and they do too. I think I just got reminded of when he went to Asia or somewhere for his own handprints, and seeing that Beiber there. It was a good publicity move to get younger crowds into mj I know, but this how we have to watch "mj sightings" now? *smh* sad

I happen to dislike people who lump teenagers into one group, being that I am one myself. lol

It's not so much teenagers, but people, in general, that are the problem. biggrin

Does anyone else feel like he's not dead? I don't mean as in being a "believer", but like you can't put him in the same category as other dead artists?

"Glee" Tackles Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal"

The Michael Jackson covers keep on comin' from the kids of McKinley High -- and today, they're taking on the MJ classic "Smooth Criminal."

In a just-released clip from next week's "Glee" episode, Santana (the amazing Naya Rivera) and Sebastian (newcomer Grant Gustin) have a sing-off set to the 1988 hit.

We're loving the cellists and the original arrangement of the song -- plus, anything Santana is in is good in our book.

"It's Michael," says an excited Rivera of the number. "You don't get that many opportunities in your life and this is definitely one of those things that I'll be able to look back and be like, 'I did that.' I hope that we did him proud."

And people eat it up like it's great. smh.

I think it's mainly kids who watch it. Or girls who think Matthew Morrison is hot and that Chris Colfer could be their best "gay friend" or something...

I used to be so into that show during the first season.....

The whole mass commercialization of MJ since his 'death' just rubs me the wrong way. And it's kind of cheapening his legacy and image too - it's like the "Hello Kitty"-ization of MJ, his face plastered all over this utter bullshit.

LMFAO @ that Beiber caption

I also agree. Some people have beiber, miley and those kids all over their facebook and twitter and then Im relieved mj is on the list cause hes a real artist, but I cant help but wonder if hes being downplayed and only being taken seriously by kids now. I mean thats nice and all since a lot of us were kids too who grew up on him and could relate to his message and words, but I dont know if this new younger crowd will get him like us at all, they are too arrogant for it, and will never know the pain we felt when defending him, theyll just pity him for being a tragic and eccentric star cause they wont take the time to do research like us, and honestly I would prefer that people know of him being a good person to be out there not just through his music, but cause he deserves it.

It makes me feel less rebellious for being into MJ, maybe thats why Ive been playing Prince way more now though this morning I played most of MJs albums and had a blast for a chance. I get too sad if I do it for too long, but was okay this time.
