Yeah, god forbids a discussion takes place in a discussion board nuts lol Should a big debate happens, I welcome it.

I don't know about ya'll, but I came here expecting just a youtube clip and a bunch of co-signing cools and headbangs, it certainly is refreshing to have some dialog about music we enjoy, and it sure beats complaining about Beyonce's "fake pregnancy".

does the song rock you or no?

Like this?

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I agree with Timmy, lord you guys are WAY to sensitive. No offense but really confused

As a huge GNR fan as Har said earlier One In A Million actually say's n..r, fa..t & A Bunch of other angry slurs towards race. Mick Jager like's to f..k black women just get over it lol

And he's writing songs about them, geesh how many times has Kanye talked about fucking the ''tokken'' white girl? in Jay Z girls girls girls he mentions tons of races & even makes little funny gestures. But is he racists?

Hell, i have written songs before that have snuck in my love of asians, i like asians & i enjoy there company. So it's something i'm passionate about.. am i racists? eek

Let Mick Jagar have sex with black women and go about your day biggrin and don't worry about it so much

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

I feel you sweetie... its a little different though when your talking about in and outdoor negroes and he is referencing how slave masters use to rape black women... The song is alot more deeper than JUST having sex with black women...

I LOVE Rolling Stones but I could see how someone might find it offensive its glorifying raping black women during slavery!!!!

Sorry if i sounded mad wink , but yes i think Mick should have chosed his words better. But idk i always saw this a song about Mick liking to do the deed with Black Women.

Yeah this is not just a love letter to women of color lol

But taken by themselves, I don't think the lyrics are glorifying anything, they are telling a very nasty and brutal story.

Also, they are talking about heroin as much as race when they say "brown sugar." This is the same album that has Sister Morphine and Dead Flowers. He is using metaphors, but in the ugliest possible terms on this particular song.

Not surprisingly, Mick has said he would not write anything like this today, and that he was just trying to be as crazy as he could at the time.

He DOES lol... He has a daughter by a black woman.

He is not racist but the song is controversial and especially for that time it was....but still cant help but love it though
