I don't know why it's titled "rare disco". That's one of the most (over?) played songs on one of the urban/R&B oldies stations down here.

their second album is their best work! It was reissued on CD last year.In addition to "Lies",I also like the songs "Is It Cool","Don't Stop This Feeling" and my favorite "It's Like That".

They do that a lot on DJ Screw's records and he also had the habit of crediting the wrong artist (he labeled "Nights of Pleasure" by Loose Ends as an SOS Band song lol). And people seem to repeat his mistakes.

I remember back in the old Napster days, some dumbass had "Brick House" listed as Rick James. I downloaded it thinking it might be an unreleased remake of Rick's, a live concert cover, or even an unreleased original track of his that just happened to have the name "Brick House". Back then, it used to take about three hours to download a song and when it finished downloading and I listened to it, it was The Commodores. I thought to myself...."What a fucking dumbass!".

It's thirty plus years old and still kills, that called SKILLS AND TALENT! Ahhh, to be seven again, one can only dream.

An incredibly well-structured song. Not a single note nor instrument is wasted.

I'm so glad that I was alive during the disco era So many amazing songs during that time period (1977-79).I was spending all of my allowance on records and 45s...lol...

I don't mean no harm, but a while ago I read that name was the birth name of Keith Sweat. Wiki is saying that Keith Sweat is his birth name, but I COULD'VE SWORN that I've read that the Keith Sweat was born Keith Crier, somewhere. Weird shit.

For many years,people thought that Keith Sweat was a member of this band Even Black Beat editor Steve Ivory thought so.In the liner notes to one of those 'Phat Trax' compilations (which features "Disco Nights"),he mistakenly wrote that Keith Sweat was an early member of the group....lol....
