I have to agree. I actually do not think it's from 85

Why would the show start off with a no name group with ugly chicks. I think this may is a prank. The video effects do not seem to fit the time. All the 80's videos featured at the beginning are all grainy, but this one is clear.

This video is not from 85. The semi truck is from the 90's at the earliest. I would guess this was done fairly recently. By an orger most likely.

I think you're right and the sound in the video is clearer than the sound in the intro which is muffled like an old VCR tape would be. Plus, I did a google search on the group name and the name of the song and the only thing that comes up on several sites is this video. There's no mention of a 45, album, or any type of record for sale anywhere or ever being released. A show like "New York Hot Tracks" is not going to air an amateur video from someone who hasn't even released a record.

Sounds like Tom Tom Club/Grandmaster Flash/Rich Little to me.
