I always liked this track with Bernard Edwards singing lead vocals. And his bassline is killer too. cool

Awesome read!!! I am a diehard Chic freak. But I always thought the sound quality of "Dance, Dance, Dance" was poor. It just sounded muddy and dull; lacking the vibrancy of their other recordings. And I guess this lessened my affection for the song. Anyway...while reading Nile's autobiography recently I learned that all Atlantic Records pressings of this song are from a second generation copy of the original master tape that Buddah Records owned. Buddah had apparently failed to get the single out in time for the big Billboard Disco Convention of 1977; which was part of the agreement Chic made with them. So Nile and Nard took a low-fidelity copy of the master to Atlantic and they made an unusual and potentially risky back door deal with Atlantic. The folks at Buddah were none too pleased. sad Oh well. You snooze, you lose. lol I said all this to say, if you come by a copy of "Dance, Dance, Dance" on Buddah don't pass it by. The difference is astounding.

These those are some of the details I can't wait to read...as well as some of the more salacious stuff. wink lol

This song doesn't get the love it deserves. I'd love to hear it live.

This was intended for the follow-up to 1983's 'Believer'. Unfortunately, they were dropped from Atlantic disbelief and the album was never finished. sad
