I agree.Robin is genuinely into R&B music. It's not an "act".He's not trying to be black. In my opinion,he does an outstanding job with his brand of R&B.You can tell that he was influenced by the greats (Marvin Gaye,Al Green,Curtis Mayfield, etc). There are alot of black R&B artists today who aren't even making genuine R&B.They're more concerned with making pop and hip-hop.At least Robin keeps it real most of the time.

Amen to that....Robin & John B. should do a few gigs together...I think they'd have a good turn out...

That's like the worst idea ever to me looool.

Just because they're both white and both do R&B, doesn't mean they should be on tour together...

Thank you. I guess they should throw Joss Stone and Timberfake on the bill, too? lol

Jon B wouldn't be caught dead with them. Jon is legit. The reason the mainstream don't know shit about Jon is the same reason they don't know shit about Kindred and The Family Soul, Bilal, Tony Rich, Carl Thomas, Glen Lewis, Kem and so on. Its because the mainstream don't know shit about R&B beyond their basic Clear Channel programming. If it ain't Beyonce, Rhianna, Chris Brown or one of these other R&B "flavored" pop artists, they don't really know shit about them. Jon never souled out to pop. I'd rather see Jon on tour with R. Kelly or somebody rather than Robin Thicke.

Jon be can sang but you put him waaaaay too High in the Sky...He'd JUMP at the chance to do engagements with Rob..Jon would have to open the show of course...

You're wrong for linking Kem with the other acts...Kem doesnt need anybody to tour with him he's doing fine by himself...I agree that Kem's last album should have been a cross-over hit.."Share my Life" should have been his First Pop-Top 10 single...

R&B radio across the nation showed him much love...

I think you misunderstood the context of my comparison. It had nothing to do with skill but rather poopularity. Real R&B heads are familiar with Jon and everyone I mentioned whereas Robin is more of the pop crowd's R&B artist. That's all I meant.
