I like him....The Walk is really nice and pelasing to the ear music

Looking forward to hearing his whole album.

Apparently, he started off as a hip hop artist and wanted to sample old school music....he decided to make his OWN samples...and thus...just kept on going with making newer soul music instead.

Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

Love him, but he's not the greatest singer.

"Henny & Gingerale"---funky bonus track from his latest album How Do You Do?

it samples Marvin Gaye's "Got To Give It Up" but this track actually reminds me of Roy Ayers' 70s jams headbang music

He opened up for Passion Pit a couple years ago and Chromeo a few months back, and both times he absolutely bored me to tears...and as has been said, his singing is not as good as it needs to be for soul music.

Having said that, the young crowd at both shows seemed to really dig him ... so I was definitely in the minority, but to me he was just another awful opening act.

I saw him open for Janelle Monae last year when I didn't know who he was and I enjoyed some of his funkier offerings although not all his songs caught me.

I agree,he's not the greatest singer.I'm more impressed with the sound of his music and the production. He's a good songwriter and producer.Eventually,he should get into producing other artists.
