You mean Barbara Cooke. Linda Cooke is Barbara's daughter and (now) Cecil Womack's wife.

The whole Womack family is a bacon & scrambled egg mess, not just Bobby. That book of his was wild.
All the dysfunctions notwithstanding, his voice has always been a magnet, everytime he sings I alwats pay attention, he's def one of the few people who could articulate his emotions pretty elequently.

Nah it wasn't just the sex, it was also drugs, rock and roll and some fights with Ray Charles, Wilson Pickett, James Brown, Sam Cooke's brothers, etc.

Well I can only imagine the ones with Wilson Pickett. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

After that episode with the Isley Brothers, I'm sure he had similar drama with Bobby.

That story about Wilson The Wicked Pickett is crazy. He was an unpredictable cat.

Didn't Wilson pull a gun on James Brown? Or I guess, the real question is, who DIDN'T Wilson pull a gun on? I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

And James pulled one on him back too. I think Wilson put a gun on ANYBODY, mainly male performers.

He was def trigger happy, I never heard of the JB incident though I doubt it, considering that JB was as trigger happy too, and crazier than a fish with titties.
God bless the dead. | |

Nah it's true, I don't know when this occurred. I'm gonna say it was in either the late '60s or early '70s when that incident occurred. I believe it was at a dressing room backstage. I think Wilson was feeling some type of way with James. I forgot what the actual story was but fortunately no guns popped off. They made up I guess because Wilson and James sang on the same stage when James had his Montreux show around '89.

Like I said, I think it had to do with Wilson's ego. I have to see if Google can help me but I can recall reading that they each pulled guns on each other lol
