David Bowie fans call for...reaches 65

I'd pay good price to see him in concert again. Last time I saw him was in 2000 at Roseland. Its been too long.

He's sixty-five and they should stop trying to pressure the man back onstage and into a tour. That type of thing is hard on an artist of any age, but especially when they're older.

I'd hate to see him try to pull something like that off and something happen to him because of it.

Just be glad that he's still here and, by all accounts, is doing okay.

Very few musicians who retire stay in retirement forever. There's countless upon countless examples, even if for one time events. But they dont do it because fans demand them to, there has to be the right alignment of the stars, if that doesnt happen then so be it. People will still keep out hope.

Change it one more time..

Maybe, just maybe, Bowie don't want to come back. Either way, he's earned a chance to rest. I think it'll be selfish to want him to make a comeback. Because if his heart isn't in it, why should we want it for our own selfish reasons? Besides he's enjoying married life with Iman, fatherhood with his two children, and also being a grandfather/elder statesman of rock so I think he clocked out at the right time. When he comes back it'll be because he wants to.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVID BOWIE! heart

I'm gonna watch my favorite movie ever for the occasion... Labyrinth!

Jareth, my King! biggrin (Yeah, I'm an 80's kid)

[Edited 1/8/12 19:37pm]

I have that on VHS and DVD. Great movie and one of my favs. I recently bought his Bowie Reality Tour on DVD. I need to see it. I also need to buy the Glass Spider Tour(which I attended as a kid, it had the best sound I'd ever heard in concert and still.) Shares Elvis's birthday too! Feliz Cumple!

I really don't want to be part of some "movement" putting pressure on Bowie, but:

If there is one musician I would love to have a comeback, then it is him. Forget about an exhausting tour - please go back to the studio, David, record the follow-up to "Outside" with Brian Eno and play a series of concerts at the arena in London that Prince used in 2007 (is that still the O2?)!

Not to be nitpicky here, but he didn't have a heart attack. He had pain in his shoulder, and they thought it was a hurt nerve, but it turned out he had a blocked artery and underwent emergency surgery after the Hurricane concert in Germany. That's not a heart attack, AFAIK. In any case, glad they caught it.

Hey loudmouth, shut the fuck up, right?
