Her sister Patrice was the singing voice for Valerie in Josie & The Pussycats. Cheryl Ladd (who was later on the TV show Charlie's Angels) was the voice for Josie. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B.
