...
Great set!!! Happy Birthday, John!!
Speaking of the Jack Johnson album, don't ever play that while you're in the car trying to get somewhere! I got lost in Right Off , and that's just where I went, I don't know where I ended up, but it took me awhile to get back on the freeway...
Like to add one of my favorites from Mahavishnu..."Power of Love" (from "Apocalypse")

Cool stuff. I love a little early Mahavishnu Orchestra, nothing could touch them when they were 'on' . | |

Good to see you back around these parts too, tA .
This thread's starting to turn into a reunion of the good old Org Non-P in-depth music discussion crowd from a few years back. Makes me feel like posing deep questions like -
So, what IS jazz anyway? Is jazz dead or does it just smell funny? Did fusion kill real jazz or is it the future jazz lost? Did Sun Ra waste his commercial potential by not pursuing his disco direction in the late '70s? Did Frank Zappa REALLY hate jazz, or just the word itself? What is the future of jazz? Is jazz the true parallel reality?? Is the best jazz really just avant pop music in disguise? (A serious question imo) What were Tony Williams favourate symbols? Is it true that Stanley Crouch is a closet Return to Forever and Mystic Merlin fan??? On second thoughts, maybe some questions should never be answered ...
Mystic Merlin - A mystery to many
Oh well, back to my Buddy Bolden '78s then.
