Robert Dickey, a singer/guitarist best known for his work on the Bobby and James Purify top ten single "I'm Your Puppet," died December 29 in Tallahassee, Florida. He was 72. No cause of death was given.
In a 2000 interview with the The Tallahassee Democrat, Dickey said he despised singing 'I'm Your Puppet.' "I hated it. It was originally intended to be the B-side. But things got changed," he said. "I sang it for 23 hours straight [in the studio]; that's why I hate it." | |
