Like say, that Elton John biopic, Rocketman?! Well, that is if Elton has his way. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Elton revealed that Timberlake is "No. 1 on [his] wish list," gushing that J.T. "played me before and was superb."

So is Justin ready to get his "Tiny Dancer" on?

Stand by, because a very official response will be coming from Camp Timberlake momentarily.

"Justin is taking it very seriously," a source close to the singer-turned-thespian tells us. "He's working with his people to figure out exactly how to respond."

Well we've got the answer for you, Justin: hell yes! We've only been saying it since, like, forever.

We know J.T. is way into the big screen business these days and after a so-so (which is being generous) showing with his latest movie, In Time, the Elton pic could be exactly what Justin needs to be considered more for his acting by say...the Academy!

Because the movie already has tons of Oscar-baiting staples: It's written by Oscar winner Lee Hall (Billy Elliot), it's in the same "surreal" vein as Oscar-nominated Moulin Rouge! (though Elton confirmed director Baz Luhrmann isn't attached), and it's based off real-life events—specifically a gay man who dabbled in drugs and rehab, all of which are definite Academy faves.

Oh, and if playing out some guy-on-guy action has Justin second guessing the role, remember, J.T., that you'd be playing bisexual. Elton was engaged twice and married once (for like two seconds) to women, after all.

Heck as Elton said, Justin already played him in his music video "This Train Don't Stop Here Anymore." So the research for the role should be fairly easy.

Anyone who requests Drake to ever portray Stevie in a biopic of his life is on some serious drugs and should go to rehab immediately.

Do I think Justin should be the one to play Elton in a biopic of his life just because of this video...no because I agree with the poster who put Phillip Seymour Hoffman as a top contender. Do I discredit that Justin could do a good job with the role if he gets it...no I don't because I personally don't think he's a bad actor from several of the movies I've seen him in. I would rather someone else portray Elton than Justin but if Elton wants Justin to play him than who am I to say differently or anyone else for that matter. It's Elton John's life so it should ultimately be his choice at the end of the day and he seems to be the one petitioning for Justin so again . I agree wtih you on studios really should find credible actors to portray icons and music and film legends. I love Angela Bassett and think she's a superb actress but she seems to be every famous black woman in most black biopics. Seriously, there are other black actresses out there...just sayin'. To this day, I still think they could have found someone better than Jennifer Lopez to portray Selena but that's just my

HollyFake was always dumb in their choices. I don't see how Justin can pull playing Elton off. Especially 1970s Elton.

Justin is alright for the roles he plays which are not roles that require a ton of talent basically ANYBODY can play them BUT not anybody can play Elton John. This is a BIOPIC.. He is going to be portraying Elton fuckin John... Hell to the no.

I know I am dramatic with this... I just find this to be annoying that these studios always do this... like Hollywood only consists of singers.

That's it right there. If Justin really had it like that, he'd be out with another album. Alas he don't and that's why he's been acting for the most part. He seemed disenfranchised with the music industry though.

Some truth but also he's just not driven anymore to make music imo. He still does music either it be a guest feature or the group FreeSol that are signed to his label but his own music he doesn't seem to care these days. I would like to hear a new album but I guess it's not going to happen.

That's very true but I think the music is his bread and butter. I'm a fan but he's a terrible actor I have to keep it real I know he acted first with the Micky mouse club etc but ne need to make an album. But I guess it's great to just sit around and let the money roll in with other things.
