OK then...so we're pretty much listing our favorite artists and hoping they release an album this year? lol

I would, of course, like to see a new Prince album BUT only if it's a solid effort, inspired & creative.

Add to that;

  • Maxwell - would love to see him take what he did with "Black Summer's Night" and fuse it with the energy & creativity of "Now".
  • Fleetwood Mac - one last album, but with ALL five of the "classic" members. Their last studio album, "Say You Will" was decent but it lacked the cohesion that Christine Mcvie usually provides.
  • Nelly Furtado - if she could take the funky originality of her spanish-language album and create something in English that isn't all about Timbaland's beats.
  • Marc Anthony - I've been saying this for years (and hopefully I didn't jinx his marriage) BUT he needed to get dumped by J-Lo to recreate that raw emotion that his old salsa albums had. SO, now that it's happened, he needs to feed off of the pain and bitterness to compose some REAL music once more.

Come on...seriously?

The dude has done nothing BUT remakes of old romantic ballads for the past TWENTY YEARS!!!

"Romance" came out in 1991. I really liked it and will always be one of my fav albums. But he's been riding on that wave ever since!

disbelief

If he puts out an album, I would welcome an ORIGINAL, STUDIO album.

All I can say is that every damned time I hear Luis Miguel on the radio fo rthe past 20 years, it's some remake of a classic old ballad. He even had the nerve to try his hand at remaking some Rancheras.

I think he has a good voice and would welcome something original for a change.

So you don't think his Rancheras was no good? I think he can sing any type of music. The man has range. That's why I stay away from radio they play shit over and over till they kill your music/remakes. I'll leave it at that.

Sorry, but I like authentic Rancheras. Pedro Infante, Vicente Fernandez, hell I'll even take Juan Gabriel.

His voice is too smooth & mellow...it's like Corona Light when what you crave is straight Tequila.

Unreleased Beatles songs like the 27 minute version of Helter Skelter and the longer version of You Know My Name.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton
