Mariah's letter & pic sent out to the Lambs:

This is us in the hospital – role reversal; Last year it was me attached to the machines (after having dembabies) and Nick was there with me through it, and now here we are.

We’re trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful. They tried to kick me out of the hospital but here I am pon de bed with Mr. C.

We’re doing OK but we’re “straaaaaanded in Aspen”. #DramaticDivaPlace (I know, we could be in a lot worse places) but the truth is as long as we’re together, we’re OK. I’m not trying to make light out of the situation because it’s a serious moment that’s very tough on all of us so please keep us and our family in your prayers. LYM.

Mr. C for ....... Cannon or Carey? eek

There has been speculation online that he was taken to the hospital for injuries he sustained while sparring with a boxing trainer. Nothing is known for sure.

Is that boxer Khan from Freddie Roach's stable?

Did he hit Nick with a kidney shot that sent him to the hospital?

Yes, Nick had been recently sparring with Amir Khan. Whether Khan sent him to the hospital with kidney injuries is a matter of conjecture.

It appears to me that Mariah and Nick are pushing their selves into the public's eye even tho nobody cares.

Silly. She has 5 million Twitter followers worldwide. I doubt she needs attention.

I see it as a preventative PR move. Announce it yourself, stomp out speculation and invasive paps lurking around the hospital trying to hustle a story and make $$$ on pics and "insider" leaks. Makes sense to me, in a twisted, jaded sort of way.

Non professionals sparring with seasoned professionals is a really BAD idea.

Actually, it's the safest way to sparr. Professionals know how to pull their punches while untrained wild swingers can do some awful "accidental" damage. My post earlier about the kidney shot wasn't me being serious. But Khan is a bad mother.... let me shut my mouth. lol

Hopefully the little ones are being well cared for by some loving grandparents when mom and dad can't be there.

Rep: Nick Cannon released from the hospital

NEW YORK (AP) — Nick Cannon is out of the hospital after battling what wife Mariah Carey called "mild kidney failure."

The entertainer was hospitalized in Aspen, Colo., last week after he fell ill while the couple was on vacation there. He was transferred to a Los Angeles hospital a few days later. Carey said he was suffering from a form of kidney failure but no further details were released.

In a statement Monday, Cannon's publicist Tracy Nguyen (WIHN) said he's now "resting and recovering at home" and thanks everyone who was concerned about him.

She says he'll return to his live morning radio show, "Rollin' with Nick Cannon," on Jan. 17.

phew! i'm glad he's been released from the hospital. i just hope his illness was benign and not chronic condition.

Nick Cannon’s come clean on what really happened when he was hospitalized earlier this month with “mild kidney failure,” as his wife Mariah Carey put it.“They thought it was kidney stones … then a kidney infection,” Cannon said on his New York-based 92.3 NOW radio show. “They found out my kidneys weren’t functioning well.” He added, “We didn’t want to say ‘kidney failure’ so people would think I gotta get new kidneys and Gary Coleman and all that stuff, so we said ‘mild kidney failure.’ ”

Now he’s drinking a lot of water and has a “couple more procedures” to go through. “Overall, I’m good,” he said. “I’m feeling 100 percent.”
Cannon was chatting with his soon-to-be “America’s Got Talent” cohort Howard Stern, who also broadcasted the conversation to his SiriusXM listeners. Stern made Cannon get candid about his pop star wife.
“Especially though this entire process, we’ve become so much closer,” he said. “I even got a chance to see a different side of my wife where she became so nurturing. I’m in debt to her forever.”
Cannon was initially hospitalized in Aspen, Colo., on Jan. 4. He was later moved to a Los Angeles hospital.
