The Pat Metheny Group - "Travels" (1983) ...
One of my all time favorite pieces--, especially with Lyle Mays' beautiful keyboards coloring it all ....perfect for that night ride home..... [img:$uid]http://www.prokai.com/photos/PatMethenyGroup/PatMethenyGroup.jpg[/img:$uid]

There's that Metheny/Mays vibe again. "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all." | |

Another Favorite!!!!
BTW, Here's One that they wrote , as a tribute to Earth Wind and Fire, called "Something to Remind You"...Years later, when Philip Bailey was doing a solo album, he called Pat to ask if he would write something for the album. Pat told him, "Actually we have a tune that we wrote with you guys in mind...", and so that ended up on Bailey's album, with Pat sitting in on guitar...
I actually like the Metheny Group version better, but at least the song got to it's intended party, Lol!
