I'd love to see a Betty Davis 'Unsung' or some kind of documentary on her

How can we make this happen?

I'd love to see that too!

She's kept such incredibly low profile over the years, maybe she does'nt want any publicity.

Unsung is a great documentary,I'm waiting for Sly Stone episode to be aired this year:)

it's hard to believe that no footage of her 70s concerts (or any live footage) has surfaced by now.

I find that amazing too. According to Light In The Attic Records (the people that produced her remasters and tend to deal with anything new with Betty), such footage does exist as Betty told them multiple shows were filmed. It's just a case of finding it and the hope no one has erased it.

.

As for Unsung, i don't think they'd be able to fill an entire episode with her as she has no live footage nor videos. They'd be playing audio clips over pictures or footage of the era. Add to that an unwilling Betty who no doubt doesn't want to be seen......Could only hope i'm wrong, though.

Is Sly Stone confirmed? Is he really Unsung? I know he doesn't get ALL the credit he deserves, but he's still known as the man who singlehandedly changed music forever back in the late 60's and early 70's.....then again, more people DO need to know about this whilst he's still here with us.

Someone will have to find out which venues she played at; contact the owners possibly...if they are still there.

Sly Stone is in NO way unsung. He had a tribute at the Grammys a few years back. Come on, now.

"Unsung" is the name of a musicdocumentary and the episisode about Sly Stone is suppose to

broadcast in March according to what I read on facebook.Sly did interviews for that program

autumn 2011.

Anyway, I would also love to see a Betty Davis Unsung but seeing that she's strongly private I doubt she'll agree to do one.
