John Lennon is my favorite artist, and I am not a follower of any religion. That said, I don't care about the lyric change. It's not a big deal. But I'm not surprised that people on Twitter think it is. Anytime someone covers a song, they get death threats from the original artist's fans, even if they don't change the lyrics. I'm happy that so many people cover this song, and the lyric change doesn't affect the message of the song all that much.
