I never watched AMERICAN IDOL , but ADAM LAMBERT.. I'm not sure why but I stumbled on an Adam Lambert video:
The song is basically unremarkable, but the execution is spotless. His voice resonates beautifully. It has a quality that I love.
How the fuck did I not know anything about this singer? He's quite good. His material is sort of meh though--he should probably grow a bit in that regard.
It seems like he's the male version of Lady Gaga sonically.
Is he big in the states at all?

Oh, I've heard this before. I didn't know it was him. Nice song. I've only seen one live TV performance, the one everybody got their panties in a bunch because he kissed another guy on stage, and I was not impressed with his singing screaming. I'm no longer plugged into pop culture/media enough to give you an honest answer your question. But according to Wikipedia, his album went platinum, so I think that's 1 million copies sold. Though this is his only bonafide hit single.

He and Jennifer Hudson are the best vocalists to come out of the show. I just wish Adam's music was better. He's really soulful with a HUGE range and all he does is that electro/dance crap that everyone else does. I do LOVE WWFM though...his best song. P!nk wrote it. He performed with Queen at the MTV Europe Music Awards recently, here's the link (audio only)

There was an interview with him in the Sunday Times here in the UK a few weeks ago in which he said he had been in discussion with Brian May and Roger Taylor about touring. Might not be a bad option for both parties......

His voice is aight but his music sucks. It's kinda like a lesser brilliant version of Steve Marriott (and I know that's a wild comparison to make) doing disco music. Like seriously dude? I was sorely disappointed in his debut record. Wasted $20 buying it. [Edited 12/30/11 8:55am]

Never pay $20 for a cd unless it's a limited edition box set or something like that. You could have gotten that cd the week it came out for $10. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

OMG, my thread sucks now.

I bought some sucky things over the years. I don't know why my ass wanted a Limp Bizkit CD for instance... I'm trying to learn from my mistakes. Adam was one of those mistakes I deeply regret.

There's only like two Adam fans here. Not me of course. I threw my copy off. I guess I ain't a fan no more lol

Still better than High School Musical, which I still have hiding under my bed.

You didn't have the composure to throw it out?

Very, very sad that his music is usually average or mediocre, because Adam is gorgeous voice:

I still listen to it sometimes. Nostalgia. [Edited 12/30/11 10:26am]

Funny thing is going back to Lambert, I never wanted to buy any American Idol associated albums. American Idol was always one of the axis of entertainment evils. I remember thinking when I was at the store on that fateful day I bought it that there was like him, Lady Gaga, Rocky Horror and Stevie Wonder and I bought other items. My dumb ass put the Rocky Horror DVD back.
I got a thread I posted about albums people regret buying also if you wanna check it out lol

Out of all the choices you put down Rocky Horror! And I can't even deny it, I love American Idol. I love fools who can't sing making fools of themselves on live TV. It's fun.
Ziplining to your thread as we speak.

Yeah I don't know WHAT the fuck I was thinking.
I don't know what was on my mind in 2009.

I never bought his cd but did dl his ballad from it that was used in the movie 2012..A Time For Miracles...I mean he is somewhat cheezy yes and an AI alumnus etc but he was always cool in style and manner to me for some reason. He went a bit overboard I think with some of his costumes I guess but maybe I like him because he is doing shit like I would do if I was in his shoes onstage. "Climb in my fur."
