​[Source: NME.com] Kanye West and Jay-Z were paid just under US$6 million to play live at the 16th birthday party of the daughter of an Arab billionaire.

The rappers, who released their much anticipated collaboration album 'Watch The Throne' earlier this year, were reportedly paid a fee of US$2.9 million each to perform the gig, which took place in Dubai around two weeks before Christmas.

According to The Sun, the rappers performed several sets at the party, which was given to celebrate the 16th birthday of the girl, who is also the niece of Sheikh Mansour, the multi billionaire owner of Manchester City Football Club.

Jay-Z has previously hinted that the second release from his and West's 'Watch The Throne' project will be released next year.

He said of he and West's future plans: "We – I say 'we' because I'm in Throne mode – we're in a great place creatively. You might see a Jay, then Kanye and a Throne album next year… We've really found our zone."

Jay-Z and Kanye West completed a lengthy North American arena tour just before the Christmas period.

Maybe they will actually make a great album this time, and not that half ass one they did. Kanye is holding back, he could really make some amazing stuff with this project.

That should be "6 million", not 16 in your tittle. That is a lot of scratch for one show.

Well he cares more about hits then putting out real shit and it doesnt help when you have Jay Z in your ear..

It's true, i love some of Jay-Z album Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint, The Black Album etc.

But he just doesn't have that greatness he once had, hell i will say it[CONTROVERSIAL STATEMENT AHEAD ]

Kanye to me is better, 1st he produced some of the best songs on The blueprint & Black Album

Kanye has had nothing but good albums, 808 i hated but i have grown to like a bit, Kanye made to me made 5 great albums & 1 really good one..

Jay made 3 great albums and then very meh meh meh

Plus Kanye had to do with 2 of Jay-Z best...... so idk just saying :*

Reasonable Doubt was a great ass album LOL, his best album to date exactly. After that I dont know what the hell happened LOL His music has definitly gotten progressively worse over the past decade and its sad because he is capable of so much better but his ass chose the easy route, sold out which is why I have no respect for Jay Z and am not a fan. Ive always been a BIG on Nas and Krs One and ironically they deserve more than half the accolades Jay gets for doing nothing... but thats what happens when you sell out lol... I dont take Jay Z seriously at all "anymore" His cred was lost 10 damn years ago LOL

I prefer Kanye over Jay Z while I am not a big Kanye fan either... his another sucker that wants to sell out mess but then turn around and produce artistic quality when he wants to... I dont understand it, its hard for me to respect someone like that because their just chasing after the green and not on some real hip hop. His a great producer. I dig his first album... I havent listened to this latest one people are raving about.

True!, I mean Kanye doesn't fool me.... he does want to make great songs. But like any other human wants money so make's dumbass songs & collabs like Katy Perry's that he know's will be hits. Jay-Z i think is the same, he is almost on Snoop Doggs level with his constant & weird collabs.
