Scissor Sisters Releasing New Album in 2012  Thu 29 Dec 2011 [Source: NME.com] Scissor Sisters have revealed that they "can't wait" to release their new album – and will preview its first single next week.
The band posted a message on their Facebook page confirming that they had now finished work on their fourth studio album and the follow-up to 2010's 'Night Work'.
The band's message said: "We hope you are having a great Christmas and looking forward to a very exciting 2012 filled with new music, shows, and surprises. One such surprise is coming your way sooner than you thought!"
They went on to add: "We spent 2011 making an album that we're really proud of and can't wait to share with you. Because you've been such good boys and girls, we'll be kicking off 2012 with a sneak peek of a brand new song to whet your appetite for what's to come."
Earlier this year, Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears claimed that the band would be going "back to their grab bag roots" for their next LP. The singer hinted that the as-yet-untitled album would be similar in style to their 2004 self-titled debut and their 2006 album 'Ta-Dah'.
