Johnny Mathis is appearing on Tonight Show

He will be on tonight's Leno show.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

He's singing a Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas/The Christmas Song medley. Looks like he got a haircut.

Oh, man. Sorry I missed this. I had terrible insomnia. I'm sure some exhilarating Johnny Mathis / Jay Leno repartee would have been just what the doctor ordered.

Nice performance.
In his 70s and his voice is still in good shape.

yeahthat I remember when when I was little my mom had like 10 of his Christmas albums and would play them ALL to death in the car. Wherever we went after Thanksgiving, here comes those damn Johnny Mathis Christmas tapes coming out. But now that I'm older, I've come to appreciate it. The man is Wonderful! Wonderful! thumbs up!

Johnny was the first act to popularize both the Christmas album and the Greatest Hits album. smile

My Mom had both. lol I used to play his albums a lot when I was a little kid. For some reason they were interspersed with Simon and Garfunkel... confuse
