I'd say it's The Beatles and Elvis Presley. The Fab 4 probably have books documenting every haircut they've recieved or every grocery store they've been in. lol

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

That's a no-brainer. Bob Dylan by far!!!! He seems to inspire writers more than anybodyin the rock biz.

I think The Beatles have more picture books than Bob has books altogether. wink

Dylan has the advantage of being a highly respected lyricist, which has prompted many studies on his lyrical output.

Don't forget David Bowie.

The Beatles, of course. This is not surprising.
Though, personally, I read most books about Queen and Freddie wink

In the jazz field, it's probably Miles Davis.

When you're talking about Beatles books, does that include biographies of the individual members?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking about. I'm sure there is a professor in Bobology somewhere!

Not really, just the Beatles as a group. But I mean books of any type, not just biographies. That's why I said Beatles and Elvis. Those are the two I've seen most often over the years. As far as the individual Beatles go, I think John has the most. I've even seen books about The Quarrymen and Stuart Sutcliffe.
