V10LETBLUES

The NPR website states where they title is derived from, but it doesn't make it any less awful.

"Kisses on the Bottom" has got to be the official worst album title ever. SNL could not possibly spoof this cheese fest of a tittle more that it is so cringe-worthy on it's own.

I was just about to come in here and crack some really immature joke about the title then saw you beat me to it. falloff

listening right now.

Sounds like McCartney as vocal stylist. Not awful, but not what we're accustomed to, certainly. And if Lennon was ever going to accuse him of making "granny music" now is the time!

RRA

I love the title, real cheeky. (No pun intended.) Much more interesting than "My Valentine," which is more bland than tap water and vanilla wafers.

Yes it's "Granny Music," but a good collection of the guy having fun with it. Not as good as a similar gig done earlier in Run Devil Run, but only because I'm not into the standards as I am in general to the 50s rock era. Not as good as RDR or Memory Almost Full or Chaos & Creation in the Backyard or Flaming Pie or Electric Arguments or even Hard Rain, worst really since Off the Ground, but this is still a decent record. Three and Half Valentines out of 5.

(Besides, if he was still alive, don't be shocked if Lennon himself didn't indulge in similar music nerding. I mean he already had done Rock N Roll.)

So did he write My Valentine?

I was not that thrilled, but I also assumed it was an old standard. If he wrote it, it is a little more impressive

i'm about as big a Beatles and McCartney fan as you'll find, but I have absolutely no interest in this album. Wish he'd have done a new album of original material.
