Rihanna has revealed she was the victim of racist abuse in a hotel in Portugal.

The 23-year-old singer was checking out of the hotel after performing a concert in the country, when she claims she was subjected to the "most racist" comments about black women she had ever heard.

Rihanna took to Twitter to vent her rage, and revealed she had given the man a piece of her mind.

She wrote:

I just met the most racist c--t EVER!!! This man said the craziest shit abt black women called us dogs, sluts, we don't look like shit, we don't belong in the same hotels....needless to say, the #N*GGA in me came out! Bajan accent and all!Lol!

The Barbadian singer arrives in London on Tuesday to perform three gigs at London's O2 Arena tomorrow - the final dates of her Loud tour, before she takes some time off for Christmas.

Rihanna didn't let the abuse get her down though and described her gig in Portugal as "legendary".

I hope you are not implying since I dont live over there that it justifies that fact. Almost every week a racist report is reported over there , what point are you trying to make? I live in London. You acquire your knowledge from videos on YouTube. Pathetic.

Having lived in various parts of the States, London is much more cosmopolitan than any other part of the world that I've been to. And races actually mix, instead of having their little "quarters" which they keep to. There is far more racial integration in London than anywhere else I've been to in the world.

How dare you call me ignorant. You do not live in England and have no experience of what goes on over here. Some idiot being racist on a train or bus is not a daily or even an annual occurence that I have witnessed - and I live in an area that is predominantly black, although I am white. It obviously goes on, but these are isolated incidents. I saw worse and on a far more regular basis in my years in the US.

How can you regard yourself as superior when you can only base your "knowledge" on what you see reported on the internet as opposed to real life experience is beyond me. Shame on you.

First off where did you get youtube vides from? LOL these comments are based on what a singer directly experienced (racism) for herself OVER THERE said.

Having a variety of mixed races doesnt justify that alot of racist incidents occurs over there, in fact it makes it more prevalent the fact that it is mixed. I never said that London is the only location that racism occurs because ANY location of the world racism will exist. However, it seems the downright blunt existence of it tends to be more prevalent in London and it seems no foul is called on it when it occurs. This is not the FIRST time this has happened OR the first time NO ONE has done anything about it.

I never said I was "superior" to anyone... you said that. And your right I shouldnt base my opinion on just what is being reported but I know of others who do live there that have said the same thing. So not everybody that lives in London/UK feels the same way as you about racism. Its always a different ball game when your the one that exactly experiences it.
