Mediæval Bæbes ~ Pearl You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

My favorite album of theirs is Undrentide. I'm sure the fact that it was produced by John Cale is not a coincidence. I like watching their live DVDs at Christmastime.

^^They're supposed to be recording a new album. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. ^^ Nice song by the Mediaeval Baebes, I like some of their stuff...have you heard of Delerium? This track 'Silence' is from their 1997 album titled 'Karma' .... Sarah McLachlan (Love her voice) is a guest vocalist...such a hauntingly beautiful song!

No, don't know them. How long have they been around? You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. :O Delerium is mentioned in a Mediaeval Baebes thread and Aria is not shown?

Apparently they've been around since the late 80's.. I first got in to them when I heard Tiesto's remix version while on holiday mid 2000...I prefer the orignal, although the trance ones are awesome too. It's a cool song so don't know if you liked it or not? LOL

I was mildly surprised at how fun they were to see live! Their voices were beeautiful and people were up dancing like it was the 16th century. If you will, so will I

It kinda sounds like those Gregorian chant records from the early 1990's. The second video didn't work, it says "blocked in your country by WMG". The Delerium song "Aria" is the last track on the Undrentide album.

I have Qntal's first three albums. The fact that they are more beat-oriented and conventional sounding makes them a little less interesting to me. However, I haven't listened to them since my goth days several years ago. Maybe my opinion will change.
