Aretha and Clive redeux 2012 "Clive and I are going to work together again," she said. "We'll hit the high spots." Franklin's Arista tenure from 1982 to 2003 produced hits such as "Freeway of Love" and "Who's Zooming Who." Davis, 79, is regarded as one of the music industry's last old-school executives, credited with masterminding comeback records for acts such as Carlos Santana and Rod Stewart. Franklin has been in discussions with Davis, but no formal deal has been struck, her spokeswoman said. The Detroit star said several album concepts are on the table. "He would like to do a tribute to Ella (Fitzgerald) and Sarah (Vaughan)," she said. "I'd like to do something written and produced by (contemporary hit-makers) Ne-Yo and Akon. I'd love to do something with Al Green and myself. Hard to say until Clive and I get together and decide." An album would be recorded in Detroit and released next summer, she said.
Franklin is also set on flying to Europe in 2012, she claims to be a bit worn of the tour bus. Additionally she will be putting out albums on her sons Edward and Kecalf and her 18 year old grandson Jordan. Franklin will appear in concert on Dec. 30th at Foxwoods in CT, and at Radio City Music Hall for 2 nights in February. Music Royalty in Motion

Well course its going to be recorded in Detroit, she wouldn't have it any other way. Surprised she's finally considering flying to the UK. It's been a long time coming. We can finally send our Queen across the pond!

I'm alright with Ne-Yo. Akon... just sing the beginning and parts of the chorus and let Aretha take it from here.
Otherwise it ain't gonna happen. I love her optimism though! Especially that she's actually serious about touring the world again.
